LORD DESCEND: As with many of you, my emotions have moved along a continuum, this past decade, from sadness to numbness, then anger to outraged (Minneapolis, El Paso, Michigan (H2O)). Like you, I have passed the point of ENOUGH! And have cried out: “Why? How much longer, Lord? When will you hasten the day of a ‘new heaven and new earth’?” (Rev. 21 – 22). Some may view this position, as a defeatist mode of living and being. However, I must adamantly remind GOD’S people; THIS PLACE IS NOT OUR HOME!
YES, while still on this side of eternity, we must continue to fight by speaking boldly to power.
Yes, we must fight by uniting our efforts against injustice and inequality (i.e. misogyny).
Yes, we must fight by taking our anger to the POLLS and placing in office qualified and honest representation.
HOWEVER, understand that in all we have done and will continue to do, our Creator God has a greater scenario that is taking place. This world is spiraling down for His imminent return! Therefore, my daily prayer:
Lord, haste the day when the faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, [on that glorious day, it will still be] well with my soul.
