GOD’S JUDGEMENT: We have heard, often, in the 21st-century (second-half), that God is good; God is great; and God is love. Indeed, God is all of these attributes and more. He is righteous, all-knowing (omniscient), all-powerful (omnipotent), all-wise, and our Creator God in Him whom we live, breathe, and have our being. However, He is a jealous God! He abhors sin and will rain down judgement, as well as blessings. His judgements are outlined in the Bible through 161 references (i.e. Deut. 4:24; 5:9; 6:15; 32:21). Like a good parent who loves, God punishes as well. He makes the punishment fit the offense.
What offense? For too long, the people of God have succumbed to the standards of this world. Everything is acceptable like in the days of Noah; within the great city of Nineveh; in the days of Israel before the captivity; and in the days of Samuel, the last judge of Isaiah. There were few righteous and God-fearing leaders proclaiming: “Thus says the Lord!” Much like today, everyone was “doing what was right in their own heart” (Judge 17:6, paraphrased). God was not pleased then, and He is not pleased now!!!
My African American community, once, we represented spiritual life and Godliness. We have stop serving, faithfully, and praising Him continuously. We must repent. All communities and nations we must return to God and His standards of living, loving, and being. And when our world has repented and turned from their wicked ways, God will restore and bring healing to our lands. This is the word of God for the people of God. Bless be those who hear this warning and obey.
